Kamalesh has over 25 years of experience in the development of pharmaceuticals and product approvals. He played a pivotal role in the chemical development of Probuphine®, the first ever LAI formulation to deliver long-lasting medication to treat people addicted to opioids. Kamalesh has experience in the development of sustained release, long-acting injectable and long-acting solid and in situ gel implant dosage forms. He is an avid hiker, enjoys learning new languages and is a certified yoga instructor.
Dr. Craig Miller
Dr. Craig Miller is a veterinarian with more than 20 years of experience in small animal clinical practice. He has a background in animal health research, including field studies, toxicology, and parasitism. Dr. Miller received his undergraduate degree from Knox College and his DVM degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. His areas of expertise include preventative medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and pain management.
Chief Administrative Officer
Renee Sera is the Chief Administrative Officer of Lifescient. Before joining the company, she started as a consultant and was responsible for marketing and business development. Renee is a small business entrepreneur, real estate developer, angel investor and is a founding investor in Lifescient. She has experience in marketing, public outreach, and business development. She has special affection for birds and cats. She loves cooking and is a certified yoga instructor.
Dr. Mari Delaney
Clinical Veterinary Advisor
Dr. Delaney, a graduate of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery since 1995. Her interests lie in preventative medicine and it is this dedication that led to her development of VetProtect, an easily accessible tool to help prevent accidental poisonings of pets. Dr. Delaney’s focus is to develop tools for pet parents that allow for high-quality care and strengthen pet and pet parent bond.
Daniele Santos has worked for over 12 years in the administrative and financial management field. She has experience in due diligence and has participated in the IPO process of companies in the Brazilian and Canadian markets. She holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on foreign trade and has a postgraduate degree and an MBA in financial management, controllership and auditing. Daniele has traveled the world and is fluent in Portuguese.
Dr. William Baker
Dr. William Baker, DVM, is the President of William J. Baker, LLC, where he provides consultative advice regarding the development of veterinary drugs. Bill has 23 years of experience in veterinary medicine research and development working in Pfizer Animal Health and Zoetis where he was the Regulatory Affairs lead on a number of animal health development programs leading to FDA registration, which includes Dectomax® antiparasitic for cattle and swine and notably Apoquel® for the treatment of acute and chronic dermatitis in dogs. Bill has the practical veterinary experience and a pragmatic approach to veterinary drug development.
